"Accept the Challenge"
Greetings and welcome to the 8th Annual “Off to a Great Start” Conference!
We are pleased, as well as excited that you have chosen to consider joining us this year. The theme that has been chosen for the 2010 Conference is "Accept the Challenge", a response to the call from the 2010 National Afterschool Association asking for providers across the country to "Be the Change".
We are presently developing a power packed, energy filled, purposeful and intentional conference that will allow ALL attendees to be infused with the belief that the ability to truly change young peoples' lives IS in their hands.
In choosing "Accept the Challenge" as our theme, we ask that ALL participants prepare themselves during the two-day, professional develop event, to receive the necessary tools to boldly embrace CHANGE that is in the best interest of helping to nurture the lives of the young people we are responsible for everyday.
We will not call for you to change who you are as a person, but simply that you CHALLENGE yourself to be exposed to new and productive ways of learning and then implementing what you have learned directly into your programs and organizations, with the hope that there is a positive impact IMMEDIATELY.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Keynote Speaker: Tod Buchanan, a world-renown motivational speaker. Tod is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Marketing. Tod has showcased his unique talents for some of the biggest companies in the country including IBM, AT&T, American Express and General Electric. He will deliver an incredibly entertaining and empowering address that will be the talk of the conference. Attendees will be in for a tremendous, interactive and inspiring message that will be TRULY unforgettable!

Your prior commitment to our efforts continues to drive our ambition to “push the envelope” each year to give you the best environment and development possible to aid you in doing such incredible work. Equally as important, we extend an open and sincere invitation to any provider who is being introduced to the conference for the first time. Please do not hesitate to research, investigate or call other organizations or peers throughout the state who have had the opportunity to be present in past years.
