The Program

Population Served: 30 Students (Grade Levels 6-8) 

50% of program students are recruited from the English as Second Language population. In the program’s initial year, students spoke five different languages and represented six countries.

Program Hours: Monday - Thursday: 2:30-5:30

The Staff

Darlene Scheid is serving her second year as an Afterschool Coordinator with the KIDSConnect Program. Darlene has experience working with youth organizations and is currently a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in Agricultural Education.

Ricardo Melendez is currently a student at The Ohio State University majoring in Print Making. Ricardo is bicultural and bilingual and offers support to our spanish speaking families.

Kara Williams currently attends Whitehall Yearling High School. This is Kara's first year serving as High School Assistant for the program.
