Family Intervention Programs

Overview of Programs

  • High School Saturday Family Workshop - 12-hour program in 3 sessions 
  • H.A.B.I.T. - Health Awareness for Being Independent of Tobacco - 4-hour program in one session

The series of Family Intervention Programs:

  • Strengthen family communication
  • Strengthen parenting skills
  • Teach student decision making
  • Educate about the harms of tobacco, alcohol and other drug use
  • Require that both parent and child attend

Schools, agencies, and law enforcement make referrals and families are invited to self-refer when there is concern about the behaviors of a  high school-aged young person.
